Myself and my partner get married on May the 4th. We booked for our honeymoon to go to the Isle of Wight in September. I will be roughly 33w going & 34w coming back. This will be our last chance of a holiday just the two of us. So far nothing has gone wrong and I'm a lower risk pregnancy. I just don't know what to do. Any advice?

I would probably say best to ask your midwife

@Christie will definitely speak to her at my next appointment. The cabin has been booked but I do have free cancellation until August. If necessary I'll cancel and book maybe Wales.

I can’t see why there’d be any issue at all.

I would check with the ferry provider as some require proof from a Dr that you’re ok to travel after 28/30 weeks. I’m not sure if the WightLink requires any extra info but it’s worth checking to avoid any nasty surprises when you get there!

My first pregnancy I was due on the 20th November and we went to the IOW first two weeks of October. All I’d say is put your hospital bag in the car and also the car seat just in case.
I carried my mat notes in the car with me and just took it easy. There’s a hospital on the island incase of emergencies too.
Hope that helps xx

I don’t see it being a problem with the ferry company, I live on the Isle of Wight and travelled on the ferry’s right up untill I was 37 weeks pregnant never crossed my mind that I couldn’t.
If you’re travelling from Portsmouth- Fishbourne the crossing is fairly short 45 minutes being the longest but it’s rare I have been on it that long!
They have procedures in place in case anything happened on the ferry & there is a great hospital on the island.
I would definitely bring your hospital bag & notes like someone has said above.
Hope this helps xx
