Just looking for a bit of advice ?
Has anyone taken anti anxieties or depressants in pregnancy ? I’m really badly
Suffering with my mental health and also have prenatal OCD and it getting out of
Control. I’m just so scared the medication will harm
My baby but the mental health has taken over my life. The doctors and midwife’s are really wanting me too. I’m quite honestly petrified as my main anxiety is something happening to my un born baby. I’m 28 weeks pregnant.

This is a tough one, mental health mediation is life saving and the benefit can out weight the risks to the baby. However your concerns are valid, like any medication we take, there are some risks not just long term but short term like behavioural.
Ask them which specific medication they want to put you on, and then research it.
I think if the medication is going to keep you alive and well it’s worth it, but find a specific type of medication that is as safe as possible.

If your doctor has advised you that you’re okay to take it, you’ll be fine. They wouldn’t let you take anything that can put you or baby at risk🤍 hope they help soon!xx

The ones they have recommended come
With very small
Risks but I’m
So scared to take the risk :( xx

I took sertraline all throughout my pregnancy as I was on it before I got pregnant at 50mg a day. I was told by my midwife to continue and go up in dosage if I needed too as it was safe to do so. However I didn’t need too as the 50mg was enough for me. Baby is almost 5 months and doing absolutely fine. I’m so thankful I had it throughout because I don’t suffer with PP. I hope this helps. X

I was advised to stop taking my sertraline as there was a risk my baby could have got addicted to it. There are other forms of medication you can take but I personally didn’t want to risk it x

I was also on Sertraline when pregnant, and it didn't appear to affect my LB at all. I am still on this 4.5 months after giving birth, and it mostly keeps my moods steady. My hormones are still out of wack, so I think that is mostly affecting my moods.
I recommend taking something. I have suffered from depression most of my life, and it would have been out of control when I was pregnant due to the hormones. I can say I think it saved my pregnancy and maybe even my life because I got bad at times.
I hope whatever you choose to do, it works for you, and you start to feel more yourself.
