So my LO went to a setting in session at the nursery last week and he's picked up croup! After a sleepless night in A&E for trouble breathing, he seems to be doing better.
Has anyone else's LO had this and what was your experience?

My son had it as a baby but didn’t get bad enough to need a trip to a&e. Breathing cold air helps so I just wrapped him up warm and took him outside before I went to bed for a few nights xx

@Eleanor thank you. It's just so scary when they cough! He was really struggling to breathe, hence the trip to hospital. He seems better today but it definitly gets worse at night. The worst part is not being able to lay them down - I've slept in the armchair for the last two nights with him.

Bless him I know it can be bad. My friend’s son had an ambulance sent to school coz he went so white and was struggling to breathe, he was Year 2 at the time I think so 6 or 7 years old. He was diagnosed with croup and tonsillitis. Glad he’s a bit better, hopefully you’re through the worst of it. Definitely try the cold air though, it helps bring the inflammation down in their throat xx
