Request to be induced?

I’m 38 weeks and for the past week have had mild period type pains , lower and upper back ache and generally struggle to move about .

I also have a 16 month old so have to be on my feet and my partner can not afford to miss any more time off work and does not qualify for paternity leave pay.

Overall I’m just fed up and always in pain and getting slight headaches can I request to be induced? I haven’t even had a letter for an induction date if I go over my due date like I did with my first.
I was meant to have a telephone consult the 2nd and they never contacted me and my midwife is pretty useless and can take days/weeks to get back to me.

I just wnat this baby out !😭

You can ask but my midwife said without a medical reason (ie growth concerns, broken waters etc) they won’t do anything before due date although I think will offer stretch and sweep at 39w?

Have you tried natural methods?

I’m 6 days into an induction for a medical reason at 40w, I’ve been waiting mid induction for a bed on the delivery unit since Thursday… I’m sorry to say induction doesn’t always get baby out quickly

Alot of midwifes won't induce for personal reasons like childcare etc only thing they might offer is a sweep

I was meant to have a consult phone call the 2nd they never contacted me I’ve just had a call of them saying due to me being sent in twice for high blood pressure from midwife appointments even though it was normal when in triage they want to induce me within the next 7/8 days x

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
