Hi Ladies, just wondering is anyone else is dealing with an oversupply and if so if you have any tips to reduce it?
I thought it would get better with time but now at 4months old and still having issues ☹️

How old is your baby? Are you exclusively pumping or exclusively nursing on demand?

I do, my babe is 5 weeks, my midwife told me to not touch my boobs unless 20 minutes within a feed, try to feed off the sane Brest for 3 hours then switch,

I would use a haaka to drain instead of pump any extra after baby feeds. Slowly they to decrease it
she is 4.5 months old and I am exclusively breastfeeding and nursing on demand I pump once at night because she sleeps through and I can’t go that long without pumping, I did feel like it was getting better but these last 2 weeks it’s just got worse and worse.

I was pumping enough and able to start a little freezer stash. But for the last entire month my supply has tremendously dropped. I just wish I was an oversupplier :( 😞

Block feeding helped me. Feed off the same side for 2 feeds in a row then switch

Mine got better at 5 months! 4 months their still going through sleep regression etc and are still very young. I will say look into block feeding. And into foremilk hindmilk if you haven’t already. Learning about these things helped me. Also try not to feed but every 2-3 hrs as feeding every hour if you are stimulates more milk. This happened to me

If possible skip your night pump. I stayed at inlaws and forgot my pump a month ago. My LO for some reason was not taking milk from 1 side that night and i couldn't pump. It's been 1 month, that side supply has been reduced.
