We did it when our first was a couple months old. We were able to stay with my mom once we moved so we had a landing pad and more time to get things done. You need income, a place to stay, a vehicle, and all your important documents. You'll have to switch car registration, driver's license, post office information, doctor's office, pretty much any and all government run things. Not to mention you'll need a way to move all your stuff. It can get expensive fast, we had to do it due to housing prices being out of control where we were. If you can wait till baby is older I'd recommend that. The newborn stage was super difficult for me from lack of sleep and mental health stuff, once we were settled it got better but it is a lot.

We’re hoping to leave Cali after baby

oh really how come? If you don’t mind sharing if not no worries 😊 we thought about Texas but the weather is so up and down I want something steady.

It’s really expensive here :/ The crime is wild in LA, traffic is insane & you don’t get any sq footage for your money. We’re in socal so the weather is pretty stable except for this random ass rain lately. We were thinking either Texas or Arizona maybe.

oh ok yeah we hear that a lot about how expensive it is. But we looked in Arizona too and the animals outside there scare me lol

oh no! What kind of animals? Like scorpions? I’ve only been a handful of times

Baby shower dilemma

So for my baby shower IV sent out an invite along with my registry to all guests, as I’d never show up to a baby shower or any kind of party empty handed even for party’s if I don’t really know the person well I’ll get them a large bottle of alcohol or a candle or gift card, I would litterly never show up empty handed to any kind of party.

So I’ve sent out the invite and registry to all my friends and family, when it was my husbands turn to send out the invite and the registry he was against sending the registry and didn’t like the thought of asking people for gifts.

I told him it’s not so much asking for gifts it’s more a guideline because inevitably people will want to buy a gift and I don’t want anyone spending their money on something I won’t use as it’ll just gather dust.

My registry is full of very cheap £5 to more pricey £67 gifts so everyone has a general idea of what to get me whatever their budget is.

My husband has proceeded to invite people who barley know us and not sent them the registry and said he’s not sending it because they don’t really talk, and he doesn’t like the thought of asking people for gifts my issue is, if you “don’t really talk” whyyyyyy would you invite them to such an intimate event as a baby shower?!!

Tell me do you agree with me or my husband?

Work from home jobs?

So I am a stay at home, taking care of my almost 10 month old and preparing for my daughter’s arrival in August.

My partner has a son from a previous relationship, so we are going to become a family of five. We still live at home with his parents and his sister, which makes me feel cramped and crowded.

I’m looking for any programs, stay at home jobs, or other opportunities for me to bring in a little money so we are able to move out by next year.

Our plan is to use some of our tax return to rent a house, until we are able to save up enough to buy our own. I’m feeling really desperate here and asking for help in any way.

My career options are limited, as I have no college degree and no car. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated 🫶

Feeling isolated?

Currently 18 weeks pregnant. Does anyone else feel isolated/lonely?

I don't have any other friends that are currently or recently pregnant, I can no longer go to my martial arts classes I went to twice a week. I feel like absolutely everything that I enjoyed has kind of been stripped. My friends are all at that point where they have started going out on nights out again after kids or don't have them so don't want to spend a Saturday night with a pregnant woman.

My other half is around but sometimes will go to the pub to watch football etc (which he's free to do)

I feel so blessed to be pregnant, just to be clear. I just want to know if this is common..

I haven't joined any classes for mums to be yet, I'm waiting til I'm a little further on.

Women of God

Trying to find my sisters in Christ friends. I’m not gonna judge ya if you’re in the same boat as me and you’re not going to church because you can’t find a church that isn’t judgmental and full of cliques. As long as you have a relationship with God let’s be friends please

High Risk Pregnancy

Has anyone here ever been referred to a high risk pregnancy Dr for weight?
I’ve seen 3 doctors this far at my regular ob and now a P.A wants me to start seeing the high risk Dr because of my bmi (body mass index) is a bit higher than they’d like 10% more than average. Its important to know that I don’t have any preexisting health conditions or current ones.
