Maybe I'm being irrationally angry, but my husband pissed me off so bad this morning my head is actually throbbing and I'm exhausted. So I had 8 weeks of maternity leave and during this time I'd stay home and take care of our girl and make sure that the house was clean and all that like an adult, well I went back to work on Monday which was miserable cause I miss my baby. Im a behavioral therapist so my job is definitely a lot but I do enjoy it. I've been getting more and more irritated all week coming home after working my ass off all day to find diapers everywhere, dishes piled up, the floor a disaster, bed not made and nothing even remotely cleaned or taken care of. He claims he just "doesnt have time to do anything else" which is straight BS again, did this for 2 months after having a human being cut out of me. Anyway do I've been getting more irritated all week. This morning ( he usually stays up a little later with our daughter so I can get some sleep) he woke me up at 4 am YELLING with his stupid friends in a video game while My daughter was asleep in the room with me so there was no other distractions, I went out and yelled at him to shut the hell up and it was very obvious he was drunk, I saw a full baby bottle on his desk that he'd made in case she needed it so I'd reminded him to PLEASE not leave it out all night because it was milk and not formula and he knows I've been struggling with my baby having to have formula more often now and I came out this morning to the FULL baby bottle STILL ON HIS DESK!!!!!!! YKNOW WHAT WASN'T FULL??? THE BOTTLE OF VODKA UNDER IT!!! His job when he stays up late is to care for our daughter so that I can sleep, not get drunk with his freaking friends online and waste her LAST bottle in the fridge!!! UGH!!!! I went and yelled at him about it, he didn't say a damn word! He just rolled over and went back to sleep! I am LIVID.

I'd be pissed too. Does he not realize that you're not in this alone? Does he just expect you to carry on like a single parent while he has no other responsibilities? Can't even take care of the baby bottle but can take care of the bottle of vodka? He has some serious maturing to do and you are not his mother to make sure that happens. I'm sorry you're going through this. Absolutely unacceptable. He's a grown man acting like a child and you have alot on your plate already than to worry about raising a grown man while taking care of an infant, household, and holding down a job.

I wouldn’t want to be with him doesn’t seem like he wants to take care of an kid
oh believe me he hears about it! He's great in every other aspect I don't have to ask him to take care of her or anything like that and he's a good dad and husband in general but he definitely has some addiction issue with gaming and feels like he has to keep up if his friends are drinking. He's been better about doing things at home since then because I think he saw how mad I was and it scared him a little bit. I've talked to him about keeping up with his friends because he has kinda a weak ass tolerance but doesn't think he does so while his friend is someone who takes 5 shots and might be buzzed my husband is fully drunk at those same 5 shots. I told him I catch that crap again and I'm selling his PC and won't even blink
that's the thing Is he's in general a great dad he loves spending time with her and takes good care of her most the time, he just gets carried away really easy and hes extremely messy. He just doesn't think about it until I bring it up and I'm already pissed at that point
I definitely agree he needs to grow up in a lot of ways, he's usually good about taking care of her, but everything else just isn't a priority to him. He was never forced to learn how to do anything or be aware of his surroundings growing up, but I can only justify it with that so much at this point. Like cmon you can't recognize the pile of dishes needs to be done? Or the diapers need to be thrown away after you change them? He's been better about doing things around the house during the day or at least when I get home from work he'll do some stuff while I get baby snuggles/ feed her so let's hope it stays that way. As for the drinking I went off on him about how drinking a seltzer or beer while gaming isn't the end of the world but sitting there shot for shot with his buddies who aren't even there when he's taking care of the baby is absolutely never okay. I told him I catch that again or if gaming comes in the way of taking care of our home I'll sell the whole PC.

How’s he messy just curious
