Get one with a side that rolls down. Babies are born with a startle reflex and any movement sets it off. The bassinet I got required me to lift him in the air a bit to go over the edge which would trigger his startle reflex and wake him after an hour+ of rocking him to sleep. 🥲 I’d have to start all over. You’ll want to be able to just turn and set baby down with as little movement as possible. Mine also had the vibration/sounds. He never cared for the vibration at all, and the sounds weren’t great bc they didn’t stay on all night. I’d recommend a normal bassinet and then the Hatch sound machine. It can be controlled by your phone, and lasts much longer than your bassinet will. It’s a great nightlight for the toddler scared of the dark era too!

i brought a next2me crib for my little one & she won’t settle in it yet😅
she’s 3weeks old and from my experience & the other mummas i’ve met on here babies can find them too big when they are newborns with all the space!
she is currently sleeping in a moses basket next to my bed!
i would pick something that works for your budget & room (and follows safe sleep guidelines) as its trial and error for each bubba x

I've brought a mamas and papas lua one, as it will fit my bed frame - my bed is really low. I also wanted travel, removable bassinet and rocking features.

This!! We loved it with our first and deffo using it again. Different heights, adjustable sides, storage underneath, and a great price. We had a snuzpod to start with and she hated it and this she lovedddd so much!

We have got a Tutti Bambini they are good for packing down to take away so think that's going to be good for trips to grandparents and uk holidays. It also tilts and has a good storage shelf
Snuzpod is apparently the slimmest on the market if you need space.

Check out Facebook marketplace. There are lots of people selling theirs on as they only last for 6 months.

I have the snuz pod, was great with my first & will be using again with this next one xx

Thanks ladies xx

thank you that’s such good advise because I was torn between zip down and push down so zip is going to be better to not disturb the babe with the pushing motion of the push down ones x

@Jade I did this 😂 the moses basket was in the living room so I'd just carry her through to the bedroom in the basket and put it in the next2me, fits perfectly 😂 x

We also have the tutti bambini. Used it with our first and will be using it this time round again

yes exactly! I had the Halo push down and if I ever have another I will absolutely be getting a zip down!
