(Poo picture) Baba not been well for a few weeks now… loose runny mucousy stools and very frequent diarrhoea. Sometimes as much as 10-12 times a day. It’s either bright yellow or swamp green in colour. She’s also had horrendous nappy rash where she’s been crying in pain. We’ve been to the docs and the hospital and waiting on a poo sample analysis to see if it’s an infection. However I’m starting to suspect a cows milk allergy or lactose intolerance instead. The colour and consistency of the stools along with the timings (formula goes right through her) and frequency - plus she’s irritable, not herself, not sleeping or napping, is sometimes wheezing when she feeds and is also tongue thrusting. Sensitive pic of poo attached. Does this look like CMPA to those of you that have been through this?

Sounds and looks like it to me! The severe nappy rash was our key symptom of CMPA! It wasn’t until I started doing nappy free time did I realise she was CONSTANTLY pooing. Even little bits here and there with gas. I knew she went every nappy change so it was frequently but didn’t realise how frequent! Are you BF or FF? Xx

yep I feel you! We’ve been trying to do naked time but it’s SO frequent there’s little bits of green watery poo almost constantly so she just ends up covered in it. We managed to get the nappy rash in a better place but then this awful green stuff started and it’s creeping back. She was crying in pain I’m so sorry for her!! How did you rectify it? We were combi feeding but now exclusively formula. I return to work this week so extra worried about it. 🥺🥺🥺

I cut dairy out of my diet and the difference was palpable! It took a couple of weeks to see the full affects but a couple of days I started to notice the difference. With formula you won’t have to wait for it to clear through your system so you might see a difference quicker! I’d speak to your GP and really push. I was lucky and didn’t have to but I’ve heard lots of mums have had to really insist trying CMPA friendly formulas as they didn’t have all the classic symptoms xxx

thank you yeah we’re going to ring the docs first thing.

Good luck! Hope it goes well ☺️🤞🏼

They can get a lot more runny than this usually. It can be a pool sometimes
