my essentials:
-extra long charging wire
-thermos mug
-comfy robe
-slippers that can get wet
i didnt use anything else from my own bag and whatever else i needed, my hospital provided; so it’s always a good idea to check what yours provides !
(mine had peri-bottle, diapers for baby, pads and mesh panties for mom, formula for whoever needed, baby hat + swaddles (although i ended up using our own swaddelini once we got home instead), toothpaste, lotion, washing solution for mom, and a few other things i can’t recall atm).

Peppermint tea. Helps with bloating and trapped gas.

I heard chewing some gum helps with the gassiness too!
And a belly band! Hospitals provide one but I still purchased my own from Amazon.

I really liked the fridamom disposable shorts after I had a c-section. They just made me feel comfy and secure around the incision. And also great for holding maternity pads in place for the days afterwards. They just felt so comfy. 🥰 If I have another I’ll definitely be packing them.

I got discharged on Saturday so this is all fresh. Long charger cable, snacks.
I’m a fan of the fridamom too. The midwife commented on them when she helped me change, saying she thought they looked good.
The thing I used the most was a peri wash bottle, honestly saved my weeing after the catheter came out, I found it really burned.
