Has anyone become pregnant again 14 months after a C section and had another C section at 23 months later? If so what was your experience please?
I know it's recommended to wait 18 months - 24 months before getting pregnant again.

I had 2 c sections 10 months apart, I fell pregnant accidentally when my first was 6 weeks old. I was monitored more closely as a high risk pregnancy, but everything went smoothly, and I’m now 14 weeks pp after my second x

My first 2 were 20 months apart, 2nd 2 were 26 months apart and my last 2 were 10 years apart. No difference for any of them except my last pregnancy I was monitored more as I was considered high risk (ivf and old). I had a tubal done after my 3rd as well. No issues!

Oh I’ve been told the recommendation of 18-24 months is between births?
Had my first in September 2022 by c-section and fell pregnant late October 2023 (so she was 13 almost 14 months old at the time I fell pregnant again). Currently 23 weeks pregnant with second and due to have another c-section end of July 2024.
I’m following too to see what others have experienced.
My midwife said that from previously having a c-section we internally have abrasions from the healed scar, where that will stretch throughout the pregnancy we may find that those areas may be uncomfortable and could also slightly affect going to the toilet etc. but I mean it’s uncomfortable going to the loo pregnant anyways.

I got pregnant 14 months after my first C-section and had my second C-section when my first was 22 months old.
No issues with second pregnancy or second C-section 😊

Yep! Got pregnant at 13 months PP, had my 2nd csection at 22 months.
My OB was ok with it because of my age and wanting to complete our family. I had no issues related to my previous csection.
this is handy to know as I thought it was 18 - 24 months before conceiving again rather than for births.

I was told that it was only required to wait that long if i wanted to attempt a VBAC, I didn't even have to wait 18m to start trying, just as long as their birthdays were a min 18m apart. By birthday I don't mean due dates, I mean if you had the baby 2 weeks early. if not then it didn't matter. I got pregnant with baby #2 when my daughter was 13m. She will be 21-22m depending when I have the baby and if I choose an elective section again or attempt a VBAC, which is an option since their birthdays are more then 18m apart.

Got pregnant with daughter a week before sones 1st birthday and he was c-sectioned, they said vbac is possible as longs everything ruins smoothly and there's no problems....unfortunately had to have section at 35 weeks anyway for other which had nothing to do with having a section before but seemed alot better and healed alot quicker.

Had my son in May 2021, elected c-section with tubal ligation (cut/cauterized) and fell pregnant again 15 months later and had my daughter in May 2023, another elected c-section and tubal ligation (removal of tubes). Pregnancy and c-section both went fine, hope this helps.

I'm pregnant now. 8 months after my C section and I'm 33 weeks. There's not been a mention of anything by midwife/doctors. Nobody has been concerned. X

@Merrie I may just be dumb but how many did you have? I’m having a hard time reading your post and trying to figure out how many c sections you’ve had lol I know it’s only recommended to have three but my brain is reading this as you’ve had like six. lol just asking because I may want more than three and want to know if that’s possible?

I've had 4. About 2 years in between the first 3 and 10 years between the last 2

Ohh okay thank you lol
