My baby is only 4 weeks, and he has nasal congestion. He can barely breathe, so he can barely sleep! I heard his voice a little different too, I think, because all the mucus phlegm. Anyone has an advice?
Also, any advice not to kill a partner who doesn't even wake up to check on baby?
I feel so freaking frustrated that he has been sleeping and chilling all day, and for the past three days, I have not been able to sleep because my baby is not feeling OK.

Have you got a nasal aspirator? A vaporiser or humidifier will help. A quick solution that might help is run hot water in the shower and put baby on the bathroom floor in a bouncer or something so can breathe in the steam. Maybe do it for 15-20 mins or so.
@Amber I do have the nasal aspirator and saline water as well! It was helping at the beginning. But it has getting worse đ I will try the humidifier and shower! Thanks!

I hope you find some sort of relief for him. The steam from the shower should help as it always does with my little one, especially for quick relief.

Saline drops in the nose. It will make Bub sneeze out the snot âșïž

Nebulizer with saline from Amazon. Also, super quick fix hang out in the bathroom while shower steams it up itâll loosen up all that mucus

Put vicks vapor rub on feet or something similar to vicks. It really helps and they make chest rubs for infants

Saline water every two hours before each feed
So saline water then feed

I put a few drops of breast milk into my LOs nose. Does a similar job to saline drops & has antiviral properties

Baby Vicks vapor rub, a humidifier or just stand in the bathroom with a hot shower running and nasal aspirator also boogie wipes if he has hard boogies itâll help it feel a little better not raw

Boil some eucalyptus leaves with Vicks and let that steam hard it will loosen that boogies up as and it serves as a sterilizer! I do this every time someone gets a little sick and it stops spreading cuz I do it daily until thereâs no more boogies in no one
@Amber thank you! I will definitely try!
@Asha I have tried so many times, and it was working, but I am not sure if I am making it worse cause I heard his breathing worsen
@Tatyana I will try right now! Thank you so much!
@Tara can I do it, even if he is a newborn??
I was hesitant to do it so much! Do you think it won't affect him?
I will try that! He is definitely eating a lot more as it calms him down!
@Kai, thank you! Do boogie wipes are really different than regular wipes? I have seen them! But I haven't read how they work! Baby Vick is okay for one month babies?
@Carla Medrano, I will try that. I wasn't sure I could use vicks! It's a great advice! Thank you!

Yes baby Vicks is good and boogie wipes have saline in them and none of the small fragrances that regular wipes have so itâs more gentle and it wonât lead to irritation quickly but baby Frida also has vapor nose wipes that might be helpful as well

I felt the same way about my husband! He got better sleep when the baby was born smh. Hope you and baby get some ease soon

Yes baby vicks is good and they make off brand also. I rub on feet and put socks on the and chest and some under nose so they can breath in better. I love boogie wipes because of saline it helps. Kids don't like because it's wet. I just found new product for me but they have a kid one also and it was recommended by my ent dr. Xclear nasal spray it's basically sugar water it works really well and I have chronic sinusitis. Amazon has and target.

How is the baby now

Cool mist humidifier works well âșïž
@Zaara he is much better!! Thanks for asking
thank you!! I actually was looking to buy one as other people also recommended!

Youâre welcome, my son had RSV real bad a few years ago and honestly the humidifier helped SO much. We would put it right by his bed, was the only way heâd get some sleep! Good luck! :)
