Does he appear to have any other symptoms like watery poos/diarrhea? I only ask because my baby was the same and it was a sign of food intolerance but obviously not saying that's the case for you x

Do you Breastfeed? If you do pop some of your milk onto cotton wool and then wipe the eye, your milk will help it heal x

He's not passed a solid poo yet but is exclusively breast fed. I've got his 8 week check next week so will bring it up then x

if he is breastfed he won’t have solid poos. Runny is completely normal aslong as they are yellow/mustard seedy looking. Xx

Pop some breast milk in babies eye after every feed. Hopefully will be gone in 48 hours x

my LO is EBF too but often his poos sprayed out like water rather than just a bit loose. He also often sounded congested. Although itncan be totally normal for babies to be a bit congested but yeah I'd say it's worth checking x

My little one is 7 weeks and has prob had the same for 6 of those weeks its strange as no other symptoms x

Been trying breastmilk too, so will carryvin with that, I know his poos are down to breast feeding, poonamis are a way of life now 😂

My LO had the same and it was her tear ducts not being fully developed. We would wipe her eyes with cooled boiled water. Use a cotton pad and wipe from the nose out, then use a new cotton pad for the other eye to avoid spreading anything. I would also drip breast milk in the corner of her eye.

This NHS link also recommends massaging:

Breast milk 🥛

Mine has one really gunky eye it’s due to the tear duct dr told me it’s normal just to keep an eye if the white of his eye goes read. He’s 9 weeks old. Breast milk seemed to make his worse. We clean with warm boiled water x

Avatar

was going to say the same! Fixed my little ones eye in 2 days x

My daughter had really gunky eyes. The doctor and health visitor checked them and they both said as long as her eyes aren't red then it's nothing to worry about and it's probably to do with her tear ducts. I just bathe them with cooled boiled water and cotton wool and they cleared up within a few days x

Yeah had his 8 week check today and the doctor said just that. :-)

Just an update on this it's still going on so been referred to get it checked

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
