Is anyone else’s 16month old not eating home cooked meals all of sudden?? My little girl would literally eat most meals I cook, and now for the last 2 weeks has literally been having my a mouthful of every meal and then point blank refusing to eat it. She cries and screams her head off when I try to get her to eat it or refuse to take it away. Then she just ends up snacking on crisps, yoghurt, wafers and basically food she shouldn’t eat all the time. It’s really getting to me and I’m stuck on what to do, I don’t want to go back to buying premade meals if I can help it!!

I'd offer a smaller portion and keep up with snacks etc. It's normal for them to be hit or miss with food lovely. Lots can impact it, teeth, illness, devlopment, appetite.
We should just over something they might have, will definitely have and a curve ball typically for exposure, as balanced as possible and just go from there xx

Are you still using high chair? My girl was like that before and didn't eat anything while in her high chair. She would eat crisps, biscuits etc but no actual food. We are now all sitting at the table and she will eat 99 per cent of the food I give her.

Thankyou very much! I’m always offering things I know she usually eats but she wont eat them either and I’m running out of ideas of what’s to give her for tea😞xx

yeah she is still in a high chair, only because when I’d take her out, she wouldn’t eat at all, she’s a very active child and always like to be on the go xx

@Jessica we've got a booster seat for the dinning chair. Someone in here actually recommended it and it worked. For my girl it was the teething that made her refuse most food that she used to love.

ahhhh okay then. Thankyou!! Might try that xx

We went through a little phase of this but its back to normal now. Keep going xx
