Owlet sock alarm

My baby girls sock alarm just went off for low oxygen levels, just suddenly went from 100% to 78% and it’s been fine ever since. We haven’t had a false alarm the whole time we’ve had it. I’m now just freaking out watching the numbers and I don’t think I’ll be sleeping tonight.

if she knocks the sock off there’s a different alert that says it’s misplaced whereas her heart rate was still tracking when the oxygen jumped down x

Does she have a cold or congested at all?

My LG’s went to 84 when she had a cold and her nose was so blocked even though id cleared it right before bed. So I got an alibis oil plug in to decongest her and it’s never happened since.

I really struggled for a few nights and constantly checked her numbers and even slept on her bedroom floor one night, but then I realised that the sock was amazing and told me straight away so I started trusting the fact that she was fine unless I’m told otherwise.

It could be something as a one off, but if you are super stressed maybe set up a place to sleep in her room with her to ease your mind for a night 💖

Hi! This happened to us - went to 50% and only happened once (typically the night my husband was away!) But I really don't think it was right because it went straight back up and no further issues - honestly wouldn't worry ♥️ it'll sound if it needs to xxx

no she doesn’t! But that’s good to know for the future. Thank you!
She’s actually still in our room as I’m just super anxious. She’s a little IVF miracle so i am maybe a bit overprotective lol xx

100% understandable to be anxious, even though they are growing so quickly they are still our little babies and it is so natural to be super protective of them 🥰

Hope you didn’t have anymore alarms last night and it was just a very random one off occurrence 😊xx

We had the odd alarm when he was tiny, once was when he’d just been sick and was on his back so I think he stopped breathing for a few seconds. The other was while I was breastfeeding him lying down and I think he couldn’t get enough oxygen through his nose due to positioning, I changed position and he was fine. It’s hard not to worry but I’d rather have the sock than not

Would it bother you? Hubby never finishes.

So my husband doesn't finish. Not for birth control but he just doesn't finish, he says he can go a really long time before actually finishing. He can finish as we have a child together.

It's never bothered me enough to cause serious problems in our relationship. Sometimes I wonder if I'm good enough in bed? He says he just gets tired. I've only ever been with two guys, my ex and hubby and my ex never had an issue with it. Hubby says he likes it and we have a healthy sex life as in we have sex regularly.

Just wondered if it would bother you or am I overthinking it?

No kissing

Those of you who didn't let anyone kiss your babies, when did you start to let them?

I've had a no kissing rule since my LG was born, which was fine at the start but there have been a few incidents lately where her grandparents have kissed her where we have had to say something. One of these incidents she ended up in hospital with bronchiolitis and the other grandparent suffers from cold sores so I'm uncomfortable with her ever kissing my LG if I'm honest.

I just want to protect her but my partner thinks there needs to be a cut off point where we say it's ok.

Co-Sleeping

I’m seeing alot of mums mentioning co-sleeping, at my hospital they had us sign a paper saying we wouldn’t and all the risks of it.

I’m just curious why there is so much negative on it when it seems it’s a positive in some cases I’ve read.

Can’t hold a conversation with my 2.5 year old

He only started really speaking a few months ago and while I know he knows a lot of things, follows instructions so well, I still can’t have a conversation with him.

At most I’ll get a couple words stung together and almost always they are just words I have said and he is repeating them back.

I try to ask him about his day or what we just did and he’ll just repeat it back. He even does it with strangers when they have said hi guys, he’ll repeat it back to them or say hi followed his own name and he’ll do this with us too.

I really thought once he started speaking that we can finally talk, but it’s just him repeating and not really responding

What time do you put your baby to bed?

My baby is 6 months and her bedtime is 5:30-6pm whenever I look online it says this is too early but she gets so tired and cranky and wakes up early if it’s any later. Would love know what time is everyone else’s bedtime?
