My little one is 7 months old and just got a taste for food. However, she now sits in her high chair and shouts at me whilst I’m preparing food. She cries whilst I’m eating out if I don’t give her something too. Any advice on how to manage this? I don’t want to be screamed at any more. 😂

We just give a few little bits on the table / tray to entertain them while you make the main thing. It could be some rice crispies, raspberries or whatever.

I don’t out my boy in his high chair until Food is ready or he would drive me crazy! If he’s getting lairy anyway I give him a wafer to suck on to keep him busy

where do you put him whilst you cook? Perhaps she needs to play in the walker 🤔 Too much food associated with the high chair. Thank you

Give a snack whilst you're cooking or waiting for food x

either in his play pen or strapped into his bouncer with the tv on. I also have a travel high chair that can strap onto the kitchen island so sometimes I sit him in there with a toy so he can watch me cook. He doesn’t associate that one with food as we haven’t used it for feeding yet

That's pretty normal. At that age my little one could last about 8minutes in the high chair. And always wanted to be a part of whatever I was doing.

I always cooked with my son in his baby carrier strapped to me, only way I could get anything done😆

7 months is old enough to be given whatever you're eating out (minus any allergens you've not checked) so just give her some of your food too. When cooking you can always give her a small pre dinner snack whilst you cook.

So simple! Thank you everyone. Snack was the winner. How I get to drink my tea when she’s finished is for another day 😂
