Congestion

Hey, my baby is now 11 days old and the last couple of days he sounds like he has congestion, it’s hard to listen to and worried he can’t breathe properly, all professionals have said congestion at this age is normal, has anyone else gone through this? If so how long did it last and can you do anything to help, thank you x

Yeah my 16 day old boy is the same. I was really upset thinking he’d caught something but apparently he’s still just getting the mucus off his chest from birth. We’ve been using the calpol saline solution spray up his nose which helps the snot to come out xx

We also had this, all professionals told us it was normal and didn’t need anything to treat it. Today though, it sounded so so bad and I was worried it was bothering her as it was so loud. I caved and went to pharmacy and got calpol saline nasal spray and it’s working well for us. The pharmacist said it can’t harm baby as it’s just saline water totally safe x

My 2 week old is the same. He’s okay during the day but at night he sounds so congested. We have the saline spray too and H/V advised running the shower so it’s steamy and taking him into the bathroom for a couple of minutes too

I’ve been using sterimar baby saline spray followed by the NoseFrida snot sucker which is brilliant - much more effective than the bulb aspirators. Clears my little ones nose every time (this is my second baby, I’d defo recommend the nose frida as a must-have baby item)

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Little girl turning herself sideways in next to me

My little girl tonight, has spun herself so she is lying sideways in her next to me, making me panic!

Is this normal at 4.5 months, do I just lie her back normally/vertically?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Caffeine addiction suuucks. (Coffee)

I'm off of literally everything. Don't smoke, no medicine, don't drink except VERY rare occasion, nothing. I drink a large coffee everyday (usually mcdonalds or 7 brew)... or a couple cups of coffee at home if I don't get out. Today I had neither and I was OUT FOR THE COUNT. Awful headache, no motivation, throwing up. Then I drink coffee and it's instantly better. 🙃 coffee is one hell of a drug I tell ya.
