Breast Pump Recommendations

If you're looking for an affordable option. I have got the kissabobo one of amazon. I can't fault it so far. They sell them in pairs and single. I just went for a single because it's suggested not to pump more than 15 minutes a side anyway, so it doesn't take long to do both.

I had the medela hands free breast pump and found it really good. It’s pricey but worked brilliantly and was super comfortable to wear. You can adjust the suction as well so it’s never uncomfortable. I loved that it was hands free because you can literally pump anywhere and it just sits comfortably inside a bra. In terms of double vs single pump it really depends on when you intend to pump. I was advised by my midwife to pump on one boob whilst baby is on the other but I wanted to exclusively pump as I couldn’t get baby to latch properly so found a double pump much more efficient. I have the Momcozy M5 and I love it! It's wireless and sits in your bra. I have had hand pumps and found them a real chore as I mostly pump over BF. I use the momcozy wherever I'm going so it's not restrictive xx

I have the electric Medela double breast pump freestyle and the haakaa. I'm breastfeeding so using the haakka more! If you are interested I can sell you the Medela, it's only three weeks and only used it for a week while my son got his tongue tie resolved.

I’m about to purchase the Medela Freestyle. My friend has it after buying two other pumps and she said it’s really good.

I don’t suppose you’d be interested in buying one second hand? I literally used mine a hand full of times before deciding to turn to formula feeding. I’ve only had it a month so it’s pretty much brand new

I’ve got a Spectra S1 and it’s so good! I can get 3oz in a 20 minute session. And I use a haakaa when I’m feeding so I can catch the let down on the other side, I don’t get much from that (about 10-20 ml)

I’m thinking of buying the momcozy s12 but I’m in exact same position. I’m trying to increase supply and I’m surviving on a tomee tipeee one that works fine but I know I could be getting more!

I’ve tried quite a few. I gather everyone is different but this is my opinion.

Hakka - handy in the early days but not practical for me for exclusive pumping

Ardo Calypso - was a good pump but attached to the wall and no hands free while pumping. Lots of parts to wash and sterilise each time

Elvie Stride - really loved, sat in bra, there’s a wire to the motor that you clip to your clothes but this didn’t bother me or get in the way, hands free, felt really comfortable and very secure, no leaking no matter how much I bend, quiet, hardly any parts to wash and sterilise. Unfortunately very expensive.

Momcozy S12 - fits in bra, no wire but the motor does stick out of your bra/top, as quiet as the Elvie stride, great value for money

Momcozy M5 - fits in bra, discreet motor but hard to hold baby when I have them on, quieter than Elvie Stride, great value for money, large milk storage capacity, not many parts to wash. Does leak when you bend though!

I would like £150 for it as I only used it for around a week. I would say it’s worth every penny. It worked brilliantly for me but I decided to switch to formula feeding because I was struggling mentally x
