My son just recently turned 18 months old, I’m pretty sure he is now ready to go down to one nap so I’ve been slowly extending his first wake window. I’m confused on a few things; do I let him sleep as long as he wants for his first nap and adjust second nap accordingly? Or do I cap it and wake him up (which is what I’ve been doing but I don’t want him thinking he needs short naps - goal is one long nap).
Secondly, do I also extend his second wake window as well?
Current schedule (increasing first wake window by another 15 mins starting tomorrow):
Wake - 7:45 am
Nap - 10:45-12 pm
Nap - 3:00-4:00 pm (usually doesn’t take it and tosses n turns in bed before getting up and crying for me)
Bedtime - 8:00
