I have migraines often outside of pregnancy and usually would take co-codamol to help…
I’ve been prescribed Sumatriptan but it’s literally not even touching the sides!
I’m having migraines daily and they’re just getting increasingly worse! I’m not sure what else to do????

I had a lot in the beginning. My doctor prescribed magnesium 500mg and caffeine (I took around 80mg) it was really good. When it was too intense and lasted the whole night I would have a long hot bath and after while it would go away. But discovering the triggers is also helpful (for me was specific foods)! Good luck 🍀

I have stayed on my daily migraine medication, my first pregnancy was horrendous with migraines. Still getting them this time, but not as many

I feel for you because I suffer badly with migraines too and really struggled not being able to take co-codamol. It doesn’t do much but the 4head strips and stick helped me a bit if I felt one coming on. Just took the edge off, sometimes enough for me to get home from work first before the full on attack

since been told I can take dihydrocodeine but I took that after surgery a 10 or so months ago (consistent dose) and it used to knock me out, i physically couldn’t stay awake! However that was alongside other pain relief too and I had just had major surgery so I’m considering asking the doc for it so maybe I can take it before bed and then just use paracetamol in the day 🥲

it might be worth trying it and seeing if you have a less extreme reaction this time. I hope you find something that works for you!
