Tommee Tippee Dreamsense monitor

Does anyone here have the tommee tippee dreamsense baby monitor? I bought one last year at the baby show in London (didn’t pay full price), and we’ve set it up this week as little one’s bedtime has become a bit earlier with the introduction of a bedtime routine following a lovely sleep regression. The idea being I can have an hour downstairs with my partner after putting him down (not that we’ve achieved that yet 🙈). The monitor just doesn’t seem to recognise my little boys cries as cries. It’s determining it as background noise, which means the monitor filters this from coming through on the parent pod. According to the monitor, he slept right through last night, however we’ve had a horrendous night and he’s needed resettling almost every 30 mins. I have the sensitivity settings set to the most sensitive for baby and 50% for environment. But I just don’t see how it will work when he’s in his own room as I’m not confident it will alert me when he cries. Does anyone have any experience with this?

We also bought ours at the baby show and I think it’s the worst purchase we made there. I also found this issue, I’ve turned the environment noise sensitivity to 0% and up the baby noise sensitivity. It’s better, but even then it gives false alarms all day. We won’t even be home and still get notifications for baby noises lol. I’ve thought of getting a different one once my little one is in his own room!

@Abigail I’m so disappointed for such an expensive monitor. Although I would never have paid full price for it, only got it because it was such a good deal and brought the cost in line with most other monitors. I’ll contact tommee tippee and see what they say 🤷‍♀️ was hoping we might have just had a faulty monitor

@Ashlyn definitely would not have been worth full price but even with the discount, since it doesn’t work as it should, it’s such a waste of money! Let me know what they say please 🙏🏼 I also hope we have a faulty one or have the settings on wrongly
