I will be giving my baby a dummy however they only stay sterile for 24 hours right so if I have to be induced or something the dummy may not be sterile anymore my time time she’s born🤦🏻♀️
Am I being stupid? How can i make sure it’s sterile in time and stays sterile? 🤦🏻♀️

I would hold off on giving the dummy until you home.

Milton do some sterilising wipes that you can use on Dummies. We have a little travel Steriliser that you can use a quarter of a milton tablet in, so taking that as well (in case needed for bottles, should anything not work with breast feeding) I wasn't going to give my first a Dummie til we got home but the hospital gave him one when he was taken away for treatment and he seemed pretty happy with it.

Some hospitals will provide you with a pot of sterilisation fluid to keep the dummy in or similarly you could buy some Milton liquid and bring a Tupperware pot that’s been sterilised and keep the dummy in that with fluid in?? Can go in and out of that for 24hrs and then you change the solution??

There should be somewhere at the hospital to sterilise, because there will be people using breasts pumps which need to be sterilised too.
oh what a great find !
