Looking for some non-judgemental advice and thoughts on the topic of potty training. We recently went to our GP for my daughter’s 18 month checkup and he suggested based off how much she’s developed cognitively, to encourage the start of potty training.
The thing is, she IS interested in the toilet, she follows basic instructions quite well, but is lacking in wanting privacy and being able to stay dry for 2+ hours at a time.

Same, we are going to get a little potty for my daughter to start. She is interested in the toilet too and will tell us when she does a stinky so we’ve been trying to get her to the toilet quickly before she goes. But I think because we don’t have a little potty or a seat she gets confused and won’t go until after in the diaper.
