Go for it my 18 month old did the same thing use this time to introduce the potty its best to skip a potty chair all together unless your not home or if you feel more comfortable using a potty chair my now 22 month old pees on the potty atleast 3 times a week give or take

Give it a try. I successfully potty trained my 17 month old girl. We trained on potty training seat and also introduced a potty as we do travel far distances in the car monthly so is handy. Took 9 days staying in the house without bottoms on to go accident free I thought of giving up every hour of the first 7 days but see when we got to day 9 and no accidents the best feeling ever. 1.5 months in and we’ve been to parks, zoos, softplays 9 hour car journey, 1 hour flight and only 3 accidents. I genuinely believe if you persevere any child can be potty trained. Good luck 🤞🏼

I started at 15 months and followed the Montessori method which recommends starting between 12 and 18 months, so would be fine going with that.
