15 month old encouragement to walk

Usually one person on one side and another on the other side (close to each other) and then let him walk between you two and make it a game. Also, hold hand and then hold t shirt at the back and then let go softly while he is distracted and then walk while holding the shirt at the back and then eventually don’t hold on. These helped with my bubz x

I got the harness and walked my son with it and he then just had confidence to take of by himself one day! As he got used to walked holding on to nothing, so you could maybe try to see if it works for you ☺️

They say to help them walk out a ball or an object in each hand so they feel they are holding onto something. Then see. But he’ll do it all in his own time xx

My little boy is 15 1/2 months and not yet standing independently or walking.

He will do the same as yours cruising on furniture and walking holding hands. But he climbs everything!

He is talking more each day and I think some kids are walkers and some are talkers! x

Mine was similar. She had been cruising since about Christmas pretty confidently and then did her first steps only in mid April and has only started walking mid may. She just decided she wanted to try one day. Everyone said I should try and encourage her but when I did she just went floppy like a rag doll. It is so hard when you want them to walk!

@Monica Pereira these are good ideas! I have tried getting him to walk holding on one hand but he just sits himself down. I think he's a little afraid 🙈

@Jordon I haven't managed to get him to go to 1 hand without sitting down straight away yet 🙈 but this sounds like a good idea to try so thank you for that ☺️

I saw a TikTok that said wear heels to encourage your little one to walk and it actually work for me haha but this was after months of trying everything I think it was making walking look fun that worked xx
