My 5 month old exclusively breastfed baby has had 3 blood stained nappies in the last 3 weeks and nothing prior to that. Doctors suggested it could be CMPA so have asked me to cut out dairy for a month. I’m a week in to a dairy free life and just noticed another two nappies with red tinges to them. Does it take a while for the milk protein to leave my body and therefore hers? Looking for some reassurance for a worried mum xx

Are the consistency of the poos different to normal? Xx

Maybe a tiny bit more watery than usual but they are always fairly runny - and somewhere between yellow brown to bright green in colour. This one with bits of blood was very green and watery

It can take 26 days or so I believe

It can take 6-8 weeks for the protein to leave the body completely
