So, recently my LB has been crying in the night time (anything from 11-2) so I'll comfort him. When he's asleep again, I put him back on his cot. As soon as his bum hits the cot bedding he's crying to be picked back up. He's not got a dirty nappy, not hungry and not in pain. We literally sleep in the same room as him - I can get out of bed and within 1 step I'm at his cot.
I'm a short arse so I have to tip toe to put him down.
I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong or "it's just a phase"
Any tips on how to get him back sleeping in his cot and NOT in my arms?

Hey, why don’t you try him sleeping in his own room? That might help x

We're going through the same thing we are currently overcrowded and looking to move.. we are slowly getting better I started soothing him whilst I was in bed.. I hum to him and he will settle back down after a while and goes back to sleep xx

Phase I think. I hope, anyway! Mine has always been an amazing sleeper and has slept in her own room since 7 months but is definitely more clingy at bedtime and in the night at the moment.
we live in a 1 bed place ATM 😞
this is what I was doing. It took me three attempts 😕
exactly. He's always been a great sleeper since day dot, and for the last two months it's been all over the place (we have had stressed that our out of our control)

My daughter has been through this many times. We found picking her up made it worse, so if she woke and needed us, we would give her a cuddle and lay her back down, patting/rubbing her back (she sleeps on her front) and she would settle herself and put herself back to sleep. If we picked her up it would guaranteed take longer as she didn’t want to be put down xx
