Was just wondering when everyone started transitioning baby into own room? My little one is 5 months and I can constantly hear her slam dunking her feet in her travel cot and personally I think it’s due to my husband snoring and then she wakes up early 🤣 would she be better of being in her own room now?

Hello 👋🏼 we moved our little one into her at just after 5 months. She was rolling into the side of her next to me cot and having her mouth on the side trying to suffocate herself! So we had to move her into her big cot. She’s done really well, she sleeps better & so do we ❤️ have your monitor set up & I’m sure your little one will go great! Xx

My baby outgrown her next to me at 5 months but I moved her cot beside my bed 🤦♀️🤦♀️ can’t seem to part with her yet, first time mum and all that lol x
I did it, put her travel cot in her room last night - took a little while for her to fall asleep as was to busy looking around the room. Only woke up once, me on the other hand just constantly watching the monitor 🤣

We moved our LO out of our room just before 5 months, I think. She is a very big baby (99th centile) so she was growing out of her bed-side crib, but I also saw some research saying that after 4 months, moving an infant into their own room can improve sleep for baby and parents.
The general guidance is that baby should stay in the room with you until 6 months to reduce SIDS risk but I think you need to weigh up all the factors and consider whether an earlier move would work better for your family.
