How old are yall feeding your babies? My baby is about to be 4 months in a couple days and he’s reaching and trying to put any food he can into his mouth. I don’t want to feed him too early and I also don’t want to deprive him. He whines whenever someone’s eating in front of him. Is four months too early?

Our pediatrician told us to wait until 6 months!

I started my baby on purees when she hit 4 months & 15 days. Our pediatrician gave us the OK.

our pediatrician just said to follow the signs of readiness- it sounds like hens displaying them! our little guy has been eating solids for about 3 weeks now (since he was 4 and a half months) after he started showing signs of readiness. i would ask your pediatrician!

Okay I’m definitely going to ask the pediatrician we have an appointment in a few days

Wait till he can sit fully unsupported in a high chair. Like head up straight back and steady. This means they won't choke due to the focus they may have on holding their head up/in place.

Im trying to wait at least another moment, unless his pediatrician says it’s okay! He has his 4 month check up in a couple of days. However the other day I wasn’t paying attention and I had my son in my lap because he’s teething and I was drinking a smoothie, this boy stuck his hand in the whip cream and ate it, came out just fine as well so I might mention that mommy fail to his pediatrician at the appointment as well:) because right now bottles are not cutting it and he’s drinking 9oz every hour and a half-2 hours at the most (except at night)

If your baby is giving you all the signs for sure talk to the pediatrician because most likely they will say to give it a try. However, they recommend waiting till six months. I started my daughter at 4 months

My pediatrician said organic baby cereal at 4 mo, purées at 5 mo, and then solids at 7 mo!

We started at 4 months.. pediatrician said it was ok

Our pediatrician said that if they’re showing signs that they’re interested in food then it’s okay to start. She said once they hit 15 lbs it’s fine to start but to only feed them one food at a time so you can track if they’re allergic to anything. My son just hit 4 months but he’s not quite at 15lbs yet so we’re gonna wait. She also said that if you’re gonna start food, don’t even bother doing baby cereal because there’s no real nutrients

Not really feeding until 6 months per our pediatrician but I let her taste things. lol

6months is best. We had to wait until 7mos with our first.
