Frozen breast milk

Sounds strange but how have you been storing it?

I made the mistake for the first couple where I would put the bag straight into the freezer.
Now I lie it flat in the freezer, once frozen you can stand it them all side by side and it barely takes it any room

Oooo I have been putting them standing up so that's a much better idea! I will put them flat from now on thank you!

My baby eats a lot so will have 1litre of breast milk in a 24hr period. Most people say a baby doesn’t take more than 4oz breast milk per feed (my LG is on 7 though 🤦🏼‍♀️) so perhaps you could work it out from that. So however many times you tend to feed in 24hrs multiply by 4oz then maybe add a bit more just in case?
We had to buy a chest freezer for the garage to store all the breast milk haha

omg haha that might be a good idea 🤣 yeh it's so hard to work out because idk exactly how much she's having each feed. I'll go with what you said though thank you! I've got a day away planned so that'll be a tester. I'm just worried for when I'm away overnight

this seems excessive

They reccomend supplying 1oz for everu hour babe is away from mum. I stick by that and then add a spare oz or 2 on top just incase I'm away for longer, he's particularly hungry or spillages happen. It's seen us right every time so far usually with the extra coming home again

that’s what my baby eats and she’s a healthy weight. It’s so hard to tell how much baby is having when breastfeeding. The amount my baby has may be much more than Jas’s but if able to freeze that much better to have more than not enough
