My baby will start to breathe fast with her mouth open almost like she’s panting like a dog sometimes. When I look at her when she’s doing it she starts to smile or start laughing. Does anyone else have a baby that does this or is it abnormal? She is just over 6 months so I was thinking maybe she discovered she can breathe through her mouth and is just playing? I’ve checked her oxygen level and she’s always like 98-99% and her skin color looks normal. So she does not appear in distress

Babies have weird quirks when they are figuring things out. my son likes to cover his face with blankets, towels, pillows, clothes, etc. And stop moving when me and/or his dad starts freaking out and throwing it off of him he has the biggest smile and laughs so loud like it's his pastime to scare the shit out of us. He has also been trying to wrap cords around himself and try to pounce of the bed thankfully he never gets too far with either of those. We catch him when he grabs a cord and block the edges of the bed with pillows and ourselves
oh gosh that’s terrifying! I feel like they love to scare us 🤦🏼♀️

My daughter (7 months old) does this 😂 she also does the grudge noise which scares the CRAP out of me, but the doctor says she’s fine it’s just one of her quirks 😂
okay good to know I’m not alone

Yes mine daughter does they said it normal it's just one of those things they do

Yes!! My 7 month old does it all the time, almost like to show she’s excited.
