Hi everyone! I had my baby 5 months ago via a planned c section and have been experiencing pretty bad pain in my joints, in particular hands, feet, knees and my legs. The GP said this can happen when breast feeding - has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what may help? Thank you!

Mine never went after my first baby.
2nd baby now 6 months and my back is worse then ever. (2x sections)

I’m 12weeks pp with my first baby and I have the worst back pain. At first it was just when I was lying down and sitting however it’s got worse and it’s constant now. Lower back, left buttocks, and down my left leg. I’m going to have to make another doctors appointment as I can’t take it anymore as it’s affecting my day to day life. X

Yes!!!! I'm not breastfeeding but my joints kills. My fingers, toes and hips..I think it's the hormone, relaxin in your body and takes a while to shift but it's agonising

I've had this in my knees and feet. Physio said knee is mechanical knee pain from the constant up and down from floors/chairs/sofa etc but I'm not convinced as it is ALL the time 😢😢 ftm not bf-ing but not c-sec x

My joints used to really ache in the morning, especially my hips and knees, it gradually got better and I have no aches or pain since I’ve stopped breastfeeding xx

I had a c-section 3.5 months ago and expressed for 6 weeks. At the check up with my Dr I complained about having sore knees when going up/down stairs and in my feet/ankles when I’d been sat a while and got up I’d have to walk funny until it eased, I just couldn’t flex my foot!! She said it’s the relaxin hormone that loosens the ligaments and I do still have a little pain now but it’s 99% better from what it was then x
