Breastfeeding and alcohol

Hi lovely, I don’t think there is an exact science. If I have more than 2 I wait at least 12 hours after last alcoholic drink, just to be sure. Almost ask my self would I be safe/legal to drive and go with that 😅🤷‍♀️. Not sure if this is helpful xxxx

Delay pumping or breastfeeding your baby two hours for each alcoholic drink you consume. This is what Mayo Clinic said

So yea they are about the same 2 hours for each drink so if u have 3 drinks you can’t breastfeed for 6-8 hours I say 8 just to make sure it’s all out

Breast feeding trained experts in the Facebook groups I'm in say if you're okay to hold baby you're okay to feed baby, as the amount that gets passed onto baby is so neglible. But if you have a drink you're better off best feeding when having it or just before and then not for a couple of hours after. Be guided by your own decision making/ risk assessment. X

As above, if you feel sober enough to hold baby you're ok to feed
