My LO loves BLW and likes to try out the food herself but I feel nothing really is going in . She chews on food and most of it is coming out of her mouth. She also doesn’t like it when I try to feed her. She has not reduced her formula intake intact in fact it has gone up a little. Is this a cause for concern . When do babies actually start eating properly ?

Don't worry about it! It's all about experiencing the food at this stage. Nutrition should still come from milk/formula primarily.

Yea the saying is “food before 1 is just for fun!” So no worries!

She'll get the hang of it. Part of BLW is getting to experience textures that a baby normally wouldn't get to play with in just toys. Formula intake probably went up cuz she's growing and needs more calories. That's ok just let her figure the food out for herself.
I think my daughter started getting good food calories in around 1 year, which is when it's ok to stop the formula. It definitely takes time and patience lol
