I'm 27w today, I could barely walk last week and was in excruiating pain. The relaxin hormone for some pregnancies (more common in 2nd) causes the connective tissue holding the hips together to become more lax (don't throw up! This makes me feel so grossed out), causing anything from clicking and discomfort to disability. Mine has his head down and I think pretty far down, and I think that is what is causing it.
I have terrible, sickening pain when I walk and getting in and out of a car is actually scary. I'm not overweight, it's my first pregnancy and my baby isn't big.

Oh I've felt out of breath laying backward or sitting down slouching back for my entire pregnancy. Like suffocation out of breath that doesn't go away by just breathing more.

i don’t even think my baby is head down yet, cuz i feel him somersaults and his feet sometimes are at my sides sometimes by my ribs sometimes kicking at my bladder and cervix 😫😫 but since my last ultrasound at 18w he was already at the 75th percentile.
like id feel uncomfortable with my hips and stuff in my 3rd trimester tho, i know im close but dang im here chasing a toddler while my legs are clicking lol.
but uhhh i hate that you have to be in so much painnnn
maybe a band could help you some how

yeah I've got the bands around my hips, and I'm basically coping by just not moving. I'm not sure I want to go through this again though if it gets worse with subsequent pregnancies. I physically couldn't care for another child whilst in this state. It's just scary, because I can feel my hips separating when I turn over. I literally can't even talk or write about it without feeling sick it is so digusting. Nothing so far in pregnancy has been this disturbing for me! Anyway mine started off with pain and clicking, and I think I ignored it too much, so just take it easy with getting out of bed/the car etc and put both feet down not one foot first.

i’ll take that advice!! i know every pregnancy is different i can say that!
but i really didn’t know that it was more common in the second pregnancy lol. with my first getting out the car in the third trimester it would be like i had to pop my leg if not i couldn’t move it fully, and id have sciatic pain. this pregnancy sciatic pain started in the first trimester. i can say i did gain 80lbs with my first 150-230
this pregnancy so far i’ve only gained around 13-14lbs but i am overweight since i only lost 40lbs when i got pregnant again, so im not sure if that’s also a part of why i feel this more or not.

I don't know but I thought I was pretty strong (the internet says it can be weak glutes/abs that contribute to it) and I wasn't overweight starting out (125lb, 5' 5"). To be honest I have no clue how much I weigh now but I think 140-145" - I was 138lb around week 22. Maybe 150. But either way we're meant to put weight on and still be able to walk!!!! I am so frustrated with it and all the 'yes but pregnancy is natural' - just because it is natural doesn't mean your body works properly throughout it.

maybe it could be the weak glutes/abs
cuz i used to work out before my first, and after i had him i got weak, couldn’t pick up the same kinda weights anymore, and i didn’t work out …….
but who knows really, if i get pregnant again ill make sure to have worked out and gotten stronger before so i can test this theory out

Wow I feel the same way in this 2nd pregnancy and to be tired and chasing my two year old is definitely not for the weak !

Have you tried a chiropractor?

i haven’t but i can’t even afford it anyways :/

it really isn’t 😫😫 and i already started the pregnancy waddle 💀

Lol OmG not the waddle
Already !! Those hips are getting ready for your healthy beautiful baby that’s coming !!
