Bleeding?

So I've been having what feels like period pains and when I've just been to the toilet I've wiped and there was blood?! Not a lot but it was there. I'm 7 weeks, what do I do??

I have been in similar situation and even had heavy bleeding from week 5, however for me it turned out that I had a blood clot in my uterus and that is what was clearing out over a couple of months.

However as you haven’t had any of your scans yet, if I were you I would visit Early Pregnancy Unit so they could check if everything is ok. The period pain and slight bleeding could be just a result of you stretching inside.

@Georgina thank you! I've just had a call with the EPU and I'm booked in for a scan on Monday. It's not enough blood to even touch a pad it's only when I wipe but with this being my first pregnancy I guess it's just the unknown 😔 just trying to keep calm and keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻

It sounds like you’re okay and it’s just a bit of spotting! I miscarried at 7 weeks and there was a lot of blood and I had constant intense period pains

I had the same thing the other day! I’m 26 weeks, I had a scan etc and everything is fine so we think the pain was ligament pain (not sure about the blood). I had a lot of the period type pains in the early weeks too and I was told it was due to the ligaments stretching. It was so bad that we thought it was ectopic at times and I was in tears with the pain, it eventually went away. I hope everything turns out okay x

It can be Normal to bleed slightly early in pregnancy, and I know you can get period like cramps as I had them for the first 6/8 weeks on and off! But definitely best to get checked out to be safe! Hope your scan goes well x

You should be absolutely fine! I had spotting when I was 5-8 weeks every now and then and it was just implantation bleeding and I had a haematoma where the egg implanted and at my early scan they said this is why I had bleeding and it’s normal, as long as you don’t have bright red or heavy bleeding it shouldn’t be anything to be worried about! The bleeding stopped for me at about 9 weeks and I’m now 15 weeks and everything is fine and the haematoma is gone!

I had the same around the same time, I was told it was completely normal and just implantation, and the pain was just everything stretching making room for baby😊 I did go for a private scan to be sure everything was okay as I couldn’t wait for the 12 week scan!

i really want another baby

i am merely a few months pp but i want another baby, but i am scared of the age gap (2 under 2) and also with everything going on in the world i just think its not the best idea at the moment but i am having crazy baby fever and miss having a newborn🥹

Period like cramps

I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Has anyone ever had pain in the bone at the bottom of the lady area?

How I can only describe it is I feel like I have a fracture or the bone is broken right at the bottom of my vagina bone obviously don’t think it’s to the extent but that’s how it feels. I had it in my last pregnancy and the pain went few months postpartum now it’s back again with this pregnancy. These are the results that u e googled I think I may have the first one has anyone every had this or something similar

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

20week scan!!

i had my 20week scan yesterday, everything looked okay on baby and we found out the gender!! it’s a girl 🩷🩷. but they said that my placenta is too close to my pelvis and they need to do extra scans to check on it? has anyone else been told this?
