My son is about to be 9 months I usually have to rock him to sleep with some music and white noise to put him down for his naps and also for bedtime just wanted to get some advice how to start making him sleep on his own?

I read precious little sleep and it was helpful. Also Taking Cara Babies Sleep training.

When I put my son to bed I have the room dark with a night light I make sure he has a clean diaper and I put him in a sleep sack and I turn the fan on and give him a bottle and he falls right to sleep. And he most likely sleeps through the night! I recommend a sleep sack!

any key suggestions that you’ve gotten from the training and reading?

I feel like a horrible person but I put mine in her crib with a binki (and play music at night because I listen to music while I sleep) and I only go in to flip her over when she cries (not whines) I don't talk to her I just lay her down or flip her back to her back and do this over and over until she's asleep it started as a 2hr process and now it's 15-30 minutes

Both recc to either eliminate or modify the sleep association factors. Such as if your baby falls asleep with that boob. Do a bottle or give the boob first in your routine instead of last.
The book is more of gentle sleep training than taking Cara babies.
