Is this portion too large for a meal for my 17 month old boy? He ate it all.

Mine inhales pasta so that would be gone in a second 😂 he’d eat all that plus a yoghurt probably x

My 14m old will eat that much and down a pouch of yogurt after 😅🤣 so probably not?
@Emma he was asking for more but I didn't want to overfill him because he also has a snack an hour after dinner, usually berries or some melon.
Thank you!! Haha good to know im not the only one with a little that inhales pasta

My 14mo often eats a lot more than that too 😅
If she asks for more dinner, I keep giving more until I run out, then I switch to yogurt/fruit and she can have as much of that as she likes. I’ve read that babies/toddlers actually have good portion control and will stop when they’re full.
@Rhiannon I have read that too! But if you put certain foods in front of my son I swear he is a bottomless pit. Sometimes I feel like he can eat almost as much as me 😅
@J.S. thank you I just worry the portion is too big. He litterally ate a cup of cut strawberries and a half cup of blueberries an hour later 🫠

Curious did he use his fork? Or fingers?

No my 9 month old eats that much along with a yoghurt afterwards

Mine would eat at least double the amount 😂 and then would eat half of mine too 😅 I feel like I am on a diet 😂she keep asking for more and if I don't give her more she throws a tantrum so I assume she is still very hungry.
@Jenn a bit of both. He usually starts with a fork and then get uses his hands in between the fork to speed things up haha.
@Jasmine good to know im not alone lol
@Kinga he throws a tantrum too if he's still hungry haha. I just feel like his stomach can't possibly be this big?? How does he fit all this food.

My son Would have that as a snack 😂
All depends on your child appetite x

I don't know either where they put all this food haha😂
@Kinga seriously where does it go haha
@Natalia thank you that makes me feel better 🤣. Every child is different I know
