I don’t drive much so have only taken him in the car a handful of times, but today we did a 3 hour drive and he screamed for the vast majority. He fell asleep for 40 mins halfway but just cried relentlessly the rest of the time. I tried all sorts- dummy, toys, white noise, leaning over and stroking his face, he just hates it.
Anyone else have this? Do they eventually grow out of it??
I’m supposed to travel 5 hours for a friends wedding in 3 weeks and I’m now thinking we’ll have to get the train the majority of the way which isn’t ideal at all.

3 hours is a long time in a car for a baby that young. Did you schedule plenty of stops to get him out the seat?
Have you had the fit of the seat checked to make sure it’s correct?

Don’t know if this could be it but my LO would scream once I fastened him in. We had to take him to the osteo for body tightness (not due to the car seat) and since then he’s be fine.
Yes - thanks to all the mum police, we did stop multiple times along the way 🙄

Good lord girl lighten up. You asked for advice no? There’s no need to be rude to people giving advice for the safety of your child.
That being said you probably need to adjust the carseat properly. Over tightening of the straps, improper angle, chest clip in the wrong spot can all be uncomfortable for the baby. 80% of car seats are installed incorrectly. I would start there.

My boy will scream in car seat too he's 6 weeks 5 days he hates the car seat

Car seat fitting most likely or silent acid reflux Is much more uncomfortable in a car seat

You are laughable. You’ve come here for advice then make snide remarks to people you give you advice?
The reason I said about it being a long time is because as babies aren’t meant to be in car seats for that long without breaks, that could have been why they were crying.
Get a grip.
except you weren’t offering any advice, you were trying to mum shame by stating the obvious. I know to take baby out regularly, that’s obviously not the issue here

That is not mom shaming.. some people genuinely don’t know that rule and you didn’t put it in your post either so why are you getting upset and being childish? Mom shaming is her telling you you’re a bad mom or something. Her saying 3 hours is a long time is just a fact. No need to be sensitive and snap at people, you asked for help

Mentioning the fit of the seat wasn’t offering advice no? And as Casey said, a lot of people don’t know there are time limits for babies to be in seats.
So yes, it is advice.
