I’ve been feeding my LO to sleep for a few weeks and he’s gotten used to the comfort and so have I. But he’s also recently started waking up every couple of hours during the nights so I’d feed him back to sleep a few times a night. My husband has noticed how tired it’s made me and feels like only
I can comfort our LO so suggested that we stop the habit.
And so today we’ve been bottle feeding him half the time. I’ve tried to put him to sleep without the boob but it just distresses him. So my husband has put him down for his naps and this evening put him to bed.
I know it’s only been a day but I’m feeling like a spare part, I can’t really do anything for my LO anymore. My husband thought I wasn’t talking to him so took baby up to bed without saying goodnight. We’ve just argued about it and I know I sound like a crazy person to him but I don’t know how to explain it in words he’ll understand.
I think he just thinks I’m going overboard thinking I can’t do anything (especially because that wasn’t the plan) but it really feels like I make it worse by not giving baby the comfort he’s used to.
Not sure what would be best to do here… any thoughts?

I feed to sleep for convenience and closeness. I am tired, but your baby doesn’t wake because you breastfeed. And it’s not a bad habit, either. If YOU don’t mind feeding to sleep, and YOU want to carry it on, then tell your husband that.
I breastfeed to sleep, but my husband can still settle our son for naps and bedtime, it doesn’t have to be an all or nothing?
