Hi I was wondering if there is anyone on here has successfully been on a ketogenic diet and maintained milk supply ? I just want to cut down/ cut off the sugar and carbs and would like to start feeling good about myself.

I don't ever feel the lack of food does anything to my supply, more the quality (i.e are you eating the right stuff. Cutting out carbs and sugar somewhat is always going to benefit as is increasing protein, fruits and veg). It's the lack of water that seems to affect it more so too in my opinion. Might be different for others but I've lost 16.5kg of my 19kg gained during pregnancy. Baby is 15 weeks old on Thursday and my milk supply has always been fine. I'm hoping to be back to my pre pregnancy weight by 1st September and have lost around 0.5-1kg a week.

Hey ...I've been running 5k every other day since 9 weeks PP as I found the first 2 stone easy to lose with improved diet and walks but hit a plateau then. I take Pregnacare breastfeeding vitamins and a probiotic too ( the Holland and Barrett one, live friendly bacteria). I don't eat much fermented foods, just a little kefir and occasional pickled onion so the probiotic keeps me going regular 👌
