Short cervix

The lady who did my ultrasound didn’t give me any information at all. I’m waiting for my appointment on Wednesday, but she asked me what number Baby this was for me and I told her this is Baby number four and she just said oh and that was it.. so I’ve been worried because it was around the time she was looking at with my third. I was literally 5 cm dilated for like a month. so I feel like I might already be dilating or not necessarily dilating but facing if anything, but we’ll find out Wednesday. I’m about to hit 22 weeks tomorrow

I had this with my first pregnancy and unfortunately they caught it too late. If it was possible they were going to put a cerclage in to stop the cervix from shortening and opening. I wasn’t able to make it to that point but I highly recommend you go that route if they offer one

may I ask how far along you were when they found it

I was 20 weeks and at the time I was going every 2 weeks with twins for cervical checks. In two weeks time my cervix shortened down to almost nothing and was completely open. I was in active labor and they could not put a cerclage in. My scenario is worst case scenario. Hopefully yours will be caught in time. There may be some restrictions and some bed rest but if that means keeping your baby, that’s all that matters ❤️

Had same experience two days ago, i am 22 weeks and 3 days and doc has put in cervical cerclage, the procedure doesnt hurt, but doc informed me it has more benefits then risks
