Hey ladies my son in almost 4 weeks I mainly breastfeed my baby but I needed to stop for two days due to a prescribed pill but after then 2 days I could breastfeed again I was pumping because my boobs was hard ect the morning after before I could financially breastfeed again my boobs was soft I usually wake up in the morning with hard boobs but they was soft and looked like there was nothing in them I tired to put buba on but there was barley any milk coming out I’ve contacted a midwife and she just advised to keep trying to put baby on the boob and then give him a bottle after wards and pump in between but so far I’m seeing no changes I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if there supply came back

Your milk would not have dried up after 2 days of no breastfeeding especially since your baby is 4 weeks old
When I stopped breastfeeding my first baby it took months for the milk to go completely!
Baby is more efficient at getting milk out then a pump is, so don’t go off how much you’re able to get whilst pumping as it won’t be accurate
Breast milk is supply/ demand so keep putting baby to breast as much as possible - I personally wouldn’t give baby a bottle afterwards because this will cause them to not nurse as frequently and as long as baby is having plenty of wet and dirty nappies and gaining weight, they are getting what they need
To help increase supply (as well as putting bang to breast a lot), you could power pump for a few hours a day xx
