Milestones

Hello, my little boy will be 7 months on the 26th Aug. He can sit assisted and can sit on his own for about 10 seconds but still not stable. He can also roll into his back to his front but everytime he does it he Cries after a few seconds as get stuck. He seems to not enjoy being on his tummy anymore and kicks his legs but can't seem to push up on his arms.
I know all babies are different but Just wondered if anyone else's babies were the same. I've seen that some are crawling already and he is nowhere near this! Should i try and do more tummy time? I was just googling the crabs to see if that will keep him entertained!
Thank you

My little girl is 7 months on the 23rd and she is the same with the sitting. She also has only rolled twice a couple of weeks ago, from back to front which I think were both complete flukes 🤣
She has always hated tummy time and doesn’t seem to know what to do with her arms! We bought the moving snail and it helps a little, she will keep her head up and push a bit with the hands to watch it for a few minutes. The only time she cries is tummy time! She’s been the most chilled and contented baby since birth so I’m not going to stress her out for the sake of it. I’m enjoying every minute of a non mobile baby and she’s in no rush 😂
All babies really are different - my eldest was rolling front to back at 2.5months, sitting at 5.5 months and crawling at 7 months, but she didn’t walk until 18 months!

My girl turned 7 months on the 15th. On the 4th August she learnt to roll back to tummy and she hates tummy time. She then realised how to lay on her tummy with her head down so she can rest in tummy time and that helped her enjoy it more. She the learnt to roll tummy to back last week and can now connect the 2 to roll across a room 🙈 the past 3 days she has also started trying to get up on her knees to try and crawl. It all happened very quickly!

My son was 7 month yesterday and is exactly the same as your little boy!
He can sit assisted and for short period alone. But rolling wise can only roll back to tummy one way and cries as he gets stuck there too!
Try not to worry and don’t stress at what other babies are doing! I was worried but They all do it in their own time! 😊💕

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰
