12 week scan and beyond

I wouldn’t worry about it too much, just do what you can manage and turn up. The sonographers are experienced and will still scan you.

If you are getting IV fluids at all, you can try to time your appointments an hour or so apart- I did that once and it worked great! Otherwise just have what you can and hold your bladder for a few hours before instead of trying to fill it just an hour before your appointment. If they still can’t see clearly, they can always do a transvaginal scan which is much clearer anyways

I wouldn’t worry, I’ve never been able to drink a thing on the days of my scans, I’ve had 5 in total so far on an empty bladder and no issues

This is exactly what happened to me with my son… I suffered really badly with serious Hyperemesis throughout the pregnancy and I couldn’t keep anything down let alone water for a scan, I explained this to the doctor/nurse and they were okay with it. It’s usually just a caution so it makes the scans clearer with a full bladder. I’m so sorry you have Hyperemesis, I hope you get on okay! ❤️
