First day harvesting colostrum & this is what I have after two attempts 😅 I know it takes time for it to come in, & the guidelines is to do this 2-3 times a day, but what are you doing with your tiny amounts? Is this little bit worth keeping? I’m not sure what to do. 🤷♀️
I’m going to buy some smaller syringes to use until more colostrum comes in, & is it worth pumping instead of hand expressing?
Thank you!

Congratulations on getting something. When I first did mine I got a very small amount 0.5ml so I've kept it but this amount I wouldnt keep waste of a syringe. Keep at it, I do it 3-4 times a day for a good half hour and now each time I'm getting over 2ml each time. The more you do it the more it'll come In. Persistence is key and being relaxed and making sure your girls are nice and warm. Eat and drink plenty to. You got this mumma don't give up. 💙💙
thank you so much! This is my first pregnancy, so I’ve never done this before 😅 thank you for the tips—I’ll keep at it ♥️

Same as me first time mumma here. Your very welcome to message me my inbox is open. Xxx

Make sure your nice and relaxed. Try putting a warm flannel on your breast before hand, or even after a warm shower/bath, as well as massaging in circular motions. I always found it best in the evenings with my first. X

I'm exactly the same evenings seem to be my best collection where I get the most it's because melatonin is released I believe which is the best time xxx

I would also say in my experience the more hydrated you are the better. Focus on getting plenty of liquids throughout the day, as this will really help with production, also with milk when the baby comes.

I found it easier after a warm bath or shower. It takes some time to get used to the motion. When doing it by hand you want to hold the squeeze. I would only use a pump of you are also trying to induce labour incase. x
