My little girl is 11 months old and cries every time I say no or take something off her.
As she's obviously too young to understand why I'm saying no, so she's not doing anything wrong, so it's hard.
She's so advance in other things not surprised that she's already getting the concept of tantrums but she's just not old enough to understand why I'm saying no to her, and so I can't help her.
Photo so we don't get lost

I could have written this. My little girl is 11 months and is exactly the same!

Same for my boy, he just knows he wants whatever it is and I won’t let him have it.

My 11 month old is the same, lol

We’re having the same! Mini toddlers 🥲

So glad everyone's in the same boat haha, hopefully they get better as they get older x

🤣

yh but she wouldn't understand that the reason I'm saying no is because it will hurt her.
She understands it as I want that, mummy's saying no x

It feels like a first child thing, my eldest always cries if we ever tell him he can’t have/do something, doesn’t matter how gentle I’m being. My second laughs when I do the same… my first is nearly 3 so still waiting for this phase to end

I can't wait for her to just understand what I'm saying, cause then I know she's being naughty rather than just not understanding my reasoning x

yh she knows ouch, if she hurts herself she says ouch but she will keep doing the same thing I've told her not to do

When you speak to your child and maybe wave your finger and say noooo. Or take whatever they have and say no they will understand. They are so clever and may I say sly lol.
I think having a sibling is really helpful where they can see what no means. When I take things away from my 11 month old daughter she just carries on with her day realising she can’t put random objects in her mouth or I will take it from her.

We live with my sister who's 5 so basically like a sibling relationship, they play together and it's a big part of her being so advanced as she copies her.
I do say no and show her I'm saying no and she shouts and tries to bite me. I do tell her off, not shouting but telling her no. It's just her age ATM, I know she will learn as she gets older x

there’s nothing to worry about then ! X these kids are so clever lol I was worried about my first child and his growth but he’s starting nursery next month and after so many milestones they come a long way and such a big relief xx

:) x

Going through the same thing currently with our sweet 8.5 month old daughter ❤️

I am a softy, so instead of just taking away the item, I swap it for something that is acceptable. Fewer cries. (I never used to be this soft, but Baby's older siblings keep calling me a meany 🙄)

aww haha, that's actually a really good idea, I'll try that when I can. She has a play kitchen which helps a little when I wanna cook. But she love to try get in the bin ATM and go under the table 🤣🙄

I have never understood the attraction of a bin!
