I’m 33 weeks + 5

Hi I’m 33 weeks +5 and for the past 2-3 weeks I’ve been getting very bad cramping in my stomach and Lower back I had to call ambulance on one occasion they told me I wasn’t in labor and its probably braxton hicks but they come at a specific time and they stop at the same time along side with this I’ve called triage and they told me to take paracetamol which has done nothing for the pain.
This morning I woke up with period cramp like pain and they told me to take paracetamol once again and that I’m just over reacting what should I do

Probably just not as tolerant to pain as some other people. I’m the same way. I’ve been on paracetamol for the past few days (35 w today) but cervix is closed after 3 days of cramping and contractions.
I was explained labour pain will be steadily increasing over time.
Have they checked your cervix? Done fFN test?
Is the pain steadily the same or getting worse every day/each hour?

I would keep taking the paracetamol as suggested for now, aches and pains are definitely more likely the closer to the end we get. It most likely is braxton hicks or could be prodromal labour which can also last for weeks.
If in labour the contractions would be growing in intensity and getting closer together (less than 5 minutes apart) and you'd definitely feel like you needed more than paracetamol to cope.
Defo say to your midwife at your next appointment.
How are babies movements? You could always ring if concerned about movements to have them monitor you and they could check everything for you then.

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
