Has anyone dropped baby’s 3rd nap yet? Also, what’s your routine now you’ve started solids?

My LG is going to be 7 months on Sunday and I’ve started to drop her 3rd nap as it seems to be the only solution to her going to bed at a reasonable time. She used to have 3 naps per day at 10am (around 1hr 30) 2/2:30pm (around 1hr 30 again) and 4/5pm (30-35 mins) and she’d go to bed at around 8:30pm, but I’ve found the past two weeks if she has her 30 mins nap at 4/5pm she won’t go to bed until 10pm now which isn’t like her at all, she was just wide awake. We changed it and dropped that last 30 min nap and she’s been going to bed at 7/7:30pm now which has been a lot better.

I feel guilty dropping the nap but she doesn’t seem too bothered by it? She manages to stay awake without fuss until after her bath once she knows bedtime is happening but then feeds and goes to bed.

If she’s had a rubbish night or if she hasn’t had long during her other naps I’ll let her have another one later on and just accept her bedtime will be later but I was just wondering if anyone else has dropped the third nap yet?

I was also wondering what everyone’s daily routine looks like with their babies now they’ve started weaning, I’m just starting to get used to it all and factoring in a few meal times as my daughter loves it, she was EBF before I started weaning so I’ve been trying to wrap my head around when to feed her milk etc, here’s how our day goes!

7/8am - wakes up, breastfeeds.
9:30am - Porridge
10am- Nap time, breastfeeds to sleep.
11:30am- wakes up, breastfeeds
2pm - Nap time, breastfeeds to sleep.
3:30/4pm - wakes up, breastfeeds.
6pm- Has 1/2 jar of food.
6:30pm - Bathtime
7pm- Bedtime, breastfeeds to sleep.

8/8:30am Wake and a 6/7oz bottle.
10:30am nap - usually wakes around 12pm.
12:15/12:30pm has lunch and a 4oz bottle
2:45/3pm nap - usually wakes around 4:30pm
5pm has 4oz bottle
6:45pm has a bath straight after her bath has some dinner around 7:15pm
Once all sorted for bed usually between 7:45/8pm has another 5oz bottle and into bed.

She doesn’t have a feed in the night anymore, though had a nappy change around 3am, but my god is she restless. She’s moving all over the place her cot, doing 180's, scooting to the top etc, it's relentless. I can be up a good 5-8 times a night moving her/calming her. It's exhausting.

7 month old girl and we dropped the third nap a few weeks ago- she made her mind up that it wasn’t happening!

Routine very similar to Amy above.

Wake up between 6.30-7.30 and bottle.
Breakfast 8.30
Nap 9.30 for 30-45 mins
Bottle 10.30am
Snack or small top up bottle 1pm (looking to introduce lunch soon)
Nap anywhere between 1.30-2pm. Usually lasts 1.5-2 hours. I have been awake by 4pm.
Dinner 5pm
6.15 bath
6.30 bottle
7pm book and bed

Hope that helps x

We're on 2 naps, 3 bottles, and 3 meals now, which is working well for us. LG was 7 months on the 15th and we started this a day or 2 before that as she was refusing her 11am bottle, been on only 2 naps since around 6 months.

Our current routine is:
8am - wake up and bottle
9am - breakfast
10/10.30am - nap for 1 to 1.5hrs
12/12.30pm - lunch
1.30/2pm - bottle
2.30/3pm - nap for 1.5 to 2hrs
5.30pm - dinner
6.30pm - bath
7pm - bottle & bed

I would drop the nap too but unfortunately I have a 4am riser and it's almost impossible at the moment 🤣

Yes my daughter has been on 2 naps for a while although sometimes will have 3 if it's very hot. There is 0 routine 😂 but generally wakes at 7 first nap at 9.45 till 11.30 then second nap 3-4.30 and she falls asleep for the night around 8.45

I wish my baby slept for 1-1.5hours.
I’m lucky if I get 3x 30 mins naps out of her in 1 day. I deffo ain’t ready to try and drop one yet 🤣

Not drinking

I’m going crazy. Baby born at 2.26kg. Slow to put on weight. This last week hasn’t put on any. Been trying to feed him at night and he’s not interested at all. Fast asleep. During day he will have 5 minute gulps and that’s it. He don’t cry for milk. I’ve got to keep offering to him. I try to offer it every hour but I don’t know what I’m doing. HV said nutrition comes after 5 minutes so I should pump first and then give him. I find it so hard. I tried to pump one boob nothing came. The other abit came. Tried giving him express he’s not interested in that too. Sometimes he will go for a longer a feed but not long at all. He’s 4 months and is currently 5.46kg. I have no family or friend support here and wish I had a cook, cleaner and nanny to help with everything so I can concentrate on the little one. I don’t know what’s wrong with him but I’m loosing it. It doesn’t help that my also stressed generally about my relationship and life circumstances. Any advice that will work. Any comfort you can give. I’m fed up. Is this regression - not feeding. He’s fast fast asleep. I’ve been trying to push the nipple in but that mouth is closed shut. I took some clothes off. Changed his nappy but he’s still asleep. Please help

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
