1st birthday ideas

I want to do a bluey themed small party or if not I’ll do a vacation with out little family.

We’re doing a small party with classic “one happy dude” decorations and some fruit trays and other small snacks!

Harry potter themed!

We’re going with “the hungry one” theme after the Eric Carle book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. My little one loves fruit so this is perfect.

We’re also doing a small party with the “one happy dude” theme. Outdoor party at the park.

We are doing "One happy camper" because he loves being outside and we have a camper and some land so we will have a small party by it. I got some decorations and we are getting a cake (for the adults) and I'm thinking of making a little smash cake for him or a yogurt parfait lol. Trying not to give him too much sugar. I'm thinking of doing a bon fire and play a movie on the side of the camper since we have a projector already. We have family flying in from out of town so I'm trying to make it fun for them too

We’re doing a big party at a hall (my husband and I have big families). We’re doing enchanted forest/fairytale theme.

We’re doing a small get together with the theme spooky one cuz she was born on Halloween

Butterfly theme because her nickname is Mari like butterfly in Spanish (mariposa). It will be kind of big because that’s how my husbands family does things lol

Mostly because he won't remember it yet anyway I am living vicariously through him and making all birthdays themed as Halloween until he starts caring haha. I learned from my first son that the early birthdays are more for the parents anyway

I’m doing a rubber ducky theme because that’s my babies favorite toy!

We are doing sports themed! My fiancé is sports obsessed and we have some stuff left over from my baby shower too. I found some cute 1 year old sports stuff on Etsy too. We are probably having around 35 people. Immediate family only. If we were to do family and friends I was at 85 people 🤦🏻‍♀️ we might change our mind but we’ll see!

Wow! These are all super cute ideas!! I’m definitely doing a smash the cake photoshoot. I think I might have two small parties/get togethers. Our families are split between two different states so I want to do something small in each location. Thinking about a Minnie Mouse theme party for one and maybe an indoor playground or something for the other.

I love that idea! I thought about a vacation too but I traveled with her last month and it was exhausting!! Not sure I wanna for that again anytime soon 😂

are you having it at a venue or like a home party? I was looking at a couple of places and it’s sooooo expensive.

This would be my first vacation with her. I was thinking to go to universal studios!

we are having it at my parents clubhouse (they live in a 55+), it’s at no cost so thankfully the food, decor and goody bags is what we will have to spend money on. Wish we could just have it at a venue but like you said, everything is so expensive-it’s crazy! We are also really feeling bad not having all of our friends/their kids so if in the next couple of weeks we want to invite more, we might. Food will cost more but it’ll still be cheaper than a venue!
